Monday Afternoon Round-Up

Mark Steyn, on Chicago Sun-Times writes about Hollywood's anti-americanism (Whoopi Goldberg included). Commentary at Powerline, The American Thinker, Edd Driscoll, Ann Althouse, Dinocrat, BrothersJudd Blog. A few weeks ago, on the City Journal, Brian C. Anderson (South Park Conservatives' author) faced a similar subject. A must-read. The only sane person in Hollywood seems to be Bruce Willis who, according to the Times is going to shoot a movie about Iraq War based on Michael Yon's reportages. Other details at A Conservative Mind, Generation Why?, Israelly Cool, Ace of Spades HQ, The Jawa Report, Gina Cobb, Riding Sun, Ex-Donkey Blog. Our American friends may want to read the english translation of this interesting post by Wellington on RaiNews 24's fake scoop about white phosphorus in Fallujah. Other good posts (in italian): Parbleu! (also here), I Diavoli Neri, Il motel dei polli ispirati, Wellington, Frequenza 0, The Italian Version. Another Time reporter is cooperating with Fitzgerald on Plamegate inquiry. The best blog to follow all the developments is always JustOneMinute. According to the 72% of French citizens, president Jacques Chirac's influence is weaker than always. All the details on Daily Telegraph, commentary at The Astute Blogger. "Police arrested 10 Sunnis carrying orders from a fugitive associate of Saddam Hussein's to assassinate the court's best-known judge" writes the New York Times. Commentary at Rantingprofs, A Blog For All, PoliBlog. Meanwhile, the trial goes on. Cheney or McCain: who's the real hero? Powerline has no doubts. Commentary at Protein Wisdom and Barcepundit. Who doesn't read at least once a day All Things Beautiful is committing a crime against arts and intelligence. Go read Alexandra's last post. Help my twin Robinik to fight anti-americanism on the web. If you don't, you are just a Michael Moore. Beth of My Vast Right Wing Conspiracy writes his opinion about Pajamas Media, Open Trackback e Weblog Awards: there's a reason why she's always the best. Moving time for some of our favorites blogs at TocqueVille. These are the new URL of Nequidnimis, Mondopiccolo, Silverlynx and Buzzurro. Update your blogrolls. We have nothing to add about the Sofri case. Our twin Otimaster wrote everything we think about it. The Duke is Gone. By the Washington Post (via Crazy Politico's Rantings), a sad story of corruption between Republicans in California.

Guts

"(...) There is no plausible explanation for the Democrats' behavior other than that they long to see U.S. troops shot, humiliated, and driven from the field of battle. They fill the airwaves with treason, but when called to vote on withdrawing troops, disavow their own public statements. These people are not only traitors, they are gutless traitors".

Iraq Toy Story

Thirty-one victims, mostly women and children. This the bloody outcome of the last kamikaze attack organized by the so-called "insurgents", the one our pacifists consider the last resource against American imperialism. A suicide bomber steered a car packed with explosives toward U.S. soldiers giving away toys to children outside a hospital in Mahmudiya, in central Iraq. Read about it on Washington Post. While New York Times "forgets" an interesting detail. Can you sink any lower than this? Yes, you can.

Round-Up: The Corner, Powerline, Balloon Juice, The Sundries Shack, Mudville Gazette, Gina Cobb, Ex-Donkey Blog, Camp Katrina, A Blog For All, RantingProfs, YARGB, Dinocrat, Paxalles, Daimnation!, Rhymes with Right, The Discerning Texan, JoshuaPundit, Rants, Down Deep in Texas. Update. The Strata-Sphere, Countercolumn, Unclaimed Territory, LyfLines, PC Free Zone, RightWing Nation.

Double Standard [reloaded]

Is Republican Speaker of the House, Tom DeLay, indicted in Texas for violation of election laws? Mainstream media dance over his (political) corpse. Does former First-Lady and Democrat Senator of New York, Hillary Rodham Clinton, take millions from a convicted felon in violation of federal laws? Mainstream media ignores the news. An enlightening report on double standard by Accuracy in the Media. Reactions at Random Numbers, Wizbang and Never Yet Melted.

A Bit of Phosphorus (Even on the Left)

Sisyphean Musings tries to make some order out of the debate around the use of white phosporus at Fallujah and links a very interesting article that we missed in the last days: Scott Burgess at Tech Central Station. If you missed it too, read it. It worths the effort. In the meantime, there's a small bunch of lefty American blogs who doesn't want to believe to RaiNews 24's lies: Stygius and WhirledView joins Armchair Generalist, which was linked in yesterday night's round-up. Ten days ago William M. Arking, on the online edition of Washington Post, urged the peace movement to avoid Italian's temptations, if they didn't want to embrace a loser strategy. Maybe, even on the left, someone still have a brain.

Round-Up: The Anti-Idiotarian Rottweiler, The Devil's Kitchen, The O'Toole File, Rottweiler Puppy.

All in the Family

Unexpected developments in the Plamegate. According to Jack Cashill of World Net Daily, "there is every reason to believe that Wilson himself outed Plame to Nicholas Kristof of the New York Times in early May 2003, at least a month before the leak to Woodward". That is two months before Libby talked to NYT journalist Judith Miller. So Valerie Plane's husband, Josheph Wilson, is allegedly the "deep throat" deemed to undermine Bush administration (in liberals' dream world). Cashill found an old Vanity Fair article (January 2004) that suggest the Wilson-hypothesis as the most likely. For sure, the deeper you get, the clearer it becomes that there's only one huge scandal: the fact that Wilson-Plame pair represented United States of America around the world. Yet another amazing success of Clinton administration. [translated by Babs]

Round-Up: The Strata-Spere, Generation Why?, A Blog for All, Ace of Spades HQ, The Political Teen, JustOneMinute, Myopic Zeal.

Red Phosphorous: (Cheats) Sometimes They Come Back

The big cheat of RaiNews 24 on white phosphorus still engages Italian and American lefties. Insisting on the issue, even when the “documentary” has been extensively demolished in the past weeks (some hints of the debunking at Wellington, Heraklitos, I Diavoli Neri, Grendel from the Moor e Il Giornale), seems senseless. But the story still circulates in the mainstream media and in the blogosphere just like it was not, as said, a cheat. Otto e mezzo’s episode on the subject was, frankly, embarrassing. There’s no need to get into details, as No Way and Wellington dealt with them brilliantly. We just want to remind that the fib saying that in 1995, in a “secret dossier”, the Pentagon classified white phosphorus as “chemical weapon”, turned out to be a lie. Thanks to Confederate Yankee and Protein Wisdom we found out that the definition “chemical weapon” was not used by US military authority, but comes from a transcription of a phone call between two Kurdish siblings, accusing Saddam of using white phosphorus to repress a rebellion in North Iraq. In the phone call one of the sibling uses the expression “chemical weapon” to describe white phosphorus. And this should be the ultimate proof of US army’s double standard? The funniest thing is that at the bottom of the transcription you find the following warning: “This is an information report, not finally evaluated intelligence”. In the report the Pentagon never defines white phosphorus as “chemical weapon”, but simply reports a phone conversation without taking a stance. This, of course, didn’t prevent Sigfrido Ranucci, the author of RaiNews 24’s cheat, from claiming that “when Saddam used white phosphorus it was a chemical weapon, when the Americans use it it’s a conventional weapon”. There are only two options: either Mr. Ranucci is acting in bad faith, or he is affected by a rare illness, “random illiteracy”, that causes him to skip some lines while reading (especially those that prove his conspiracy theories wrong). We understand perfectly the ideological and economical reasons that push Ranucci into defending his false scoop beyond the limit of ridicule. Or that induce comrade Morrione and comrade Floris to make an instrument of political propaganda out of it. Or that force US far leftist useful (only to Al Queda) idiots to air the cheat, trying to arm Bush administration. But we don’t understand how Italian journalism sank so low, that it can’t recognize a false scoop when it sees one. Ignorance or bad faith, Rusty thinks it’s high time to call things with their real name: betrayal. UPDATE: as Domiziano Galia observes on Fratelli d’Italia, the document (that is no more on-line while we’re writing) is not the complete transcription of the phone call, but a summed-up version. Read the post and draw your conclusion. In our opinion the matter does not change. Keep an eye on Wellington and I Diavoli Neri. [translation by Babs]

Lefty Glitches

This is for all those who still believe that american mainstream media are a model of unbiased journalism (and not a bunch of liberals). Take a look in this video (via The Political Teen) at the technical error the CNN ran into while broadcasting a speech by vice-president Dick Cheney at the American Enterprise Institute. An enormous black "X" flashed repeatedly on Cheney's face. As an anonymous White House source declared to Drudge Report: "Is someone in Atlanta trying to tell us something". Lefties claim it was a mere technical glitch. But Michelle Malkin is not convinced.

Sunday Night Open Trackback Carnage

(For the trackback, please use the italian/english version. Ping: http://haloscan.com/tb/andragorn/113252419871761060)

Since sometime we wanted to dedicate a day of the week to the open trackback, following the steps of the amazing Beth of My Vast Right Wing Conspiracy. But we were too lazy until now. We don't have to explain anything to our American friends, because open trackbacks are very well known in the States (they can read something here, anyway). But we should have written something more for the Italian readers of the Right Nation. We are lucky that, just today, our twin Robinik decided to do all the work for us, writing a good explanation in italian, while launching his first Sunday Open Trackback (thanks Rob!). Let's stop talking then, and let's celebrate this first Sunday Night Open Trackback Carnage on The Right Nation.

The rules are simple, but they MUST be respected:
1) If you wrote a post that you want to show to our readers, do a trackback here (the url to ping is http://www/.). It's mandatory to link this post.
2) Posts will be linked at the end of this post, with the title and the name of the blog (yeah, it's a good way to improve your Technorati and TTLB's Ecosystem ranking.
3) Trackback Carnage is open to everyone except left-wing blogs (HA!). Only exceptions will be for our (few) lefty friends at TocqueVille. :)
4) If your blogging platform doesn't allow trackbacks, you can use Adam Kalsey's Simpletrack or Wizbang Standalone Trackback Pinger. I never tried them, but if Beth says that they work, I trust her. Only for TocqueVille's Citizens, we decided to accept also emails to this address (url, title, name of the blog, short excerpt of the text, use as subject: "Sunday Night Open Trackback"). Remember that, also in this case, a link to the Sunday Night Open Trackback Carnage is mandatory.
5) Enjoy!

GOP: Iraq Showdown

“We have troops in harm’s way. We cannot afford to send mixed messages.” With these words, Arizona’s congressman, J.D. Hayworth, threw the Republican gauntlet to the Democratic rivals, obliging them to take – once for all – a definitive position on the permanence of American troops in Iraq. In the next hours, the House will vote on a withdrawal proposal originally introduced, without any chance to be accepted, by John Murtha (D- Pennsylvania). Just to get a bit of media attention for the anti-Bush movement. The motion, on the contrary, was endorsed by GOP, with a terrific coup-de-theatre and a great amount of courage. The goal, self-confessed, of the Republicans is to push the Democrats to a corner and oblige them to take their own responsibilities in face of the voters. “We want to be sure – said Republican Speaker Dennis Hastert (Illinois) – to give all the possible support to our troops fighting in Iraq and Afghanistan. We will not withdraw.” Now, after years of flip-flop, finally it will be possible to count the number of Democratic congressmen that haven’t still sent their brains to the cluster embracing the radical drift of Howard Dean & Co. Unless, of course, they will not decide to do what they can do best: hide themselves or run away from reality. Meanwhile, the right side of blogosphere is erupting in a glee of analysis, comments and live-blogging: Media Blog (NRO), The Hotline (NJ), Hugh Hewitt, The Jawa Report, QandO Blog, Michelle Malkin, All Things Beautiful, GOP Bloggers, Instapundit, Stop The ACLU, Anti-Idiotarian Rottweiler, Wizbang, The Political Teen, Polipundit, Captain's Quarters, Protein Wisdom, Rightwing News, Don Surber, Point Five, Jeff Quinton, The Moderate Voice, The Strata-Sphere, The Politburo Diktat, Small Town Veteran, The Truth Laid Bear, Macsmind, EuphoricReality, Freedom Folks, Blogs for Bush, Gateway Pundit, Sister Toldjah, RedState.org, No End But Victory, Crazy Politicos Rantings, Iowa Voice, The Political Pit Bull, Stuck on Stupid, Right Voices, Conservative Thinking, Cao’s Blog, Basil’s Blog, Jo’s Cafe, My Vast Right Wing Conspiracy. Die Hard, al-Qaeda!

Bruce Willis has offered $1 million (hat tip: Superuomo) to anyone who turns in al-Qaeda terror leaders, Osama bin Laden, Aymen al-Zawahiri or Abu Musab al-Zarqawi. Willis - one of the few people with guts in the "Socialist Republic of Hollywood" announced his reward on the TV show "Rita Cosby: Live And Direct" where he also denounced biased media coverage of the Iraq war. "I am baffled to understand why the things that I saw happening in Iraq, really good things happening in Iraq, are not being reported on," Willis said. Two years ago, Bruce Willis offered the same reward for Saddam Hussein's capture. And he brought good luck. Full transcript of the interview (blogger from Iraq Michael Yon was there too) at National Review's The Corner. Other details and commentary at: Libertas, The Mudville Gazette, Powerline, Suitably Flip, Stuck on Stupid, Clear and Present, Israelly Cool, Nairb Rules the Universe, Eric Boredom's Revealed, Debbie Schlussel, Stunner's Afflictions, Mrs. Happy Housewife, Hard Right, Bradsonehotmama, eCorry, ElectricDesert, RWDB, New York Young Republican, The Mind Boggles, Small Town Veteran.

Good Night, Italy

First we read in Mario Sechi’s blog that “white phosphorus was never used against Falluja’s civilians. This was explained to American press by one of Pentagon’s spokesmen, col Barry Venable. He denied the report by RaiNews24 that pretends that phosphorus was used against civilians”. Let’s listen to the audio interview of Venable and actually his position doesn’t seem to leave room to any misunderstanding. Without taking in account, of course, that the rubbish of Morrione and comrades was abundantly torn in pieces, also in Italy, by the tenacious work of reporting of some excellent bloggers (above all Wellington, Heraklitos, I Diavoli Neri and Grendel from the Moor) and some isolated analysts (Andrea Nativi on Il Giornale). Later on, at night time, zapping on Tv, we hear (and watch) RaiNews24’ s anchorman in duty (but do they make a special contest to hire the ugliest ones?) stating with no irony: “The Pentagon admitted: RaiNew24’s report said the truth. Major international networks are echoing the news.” Following, a delirious interview to Giuliana Sgrena. Good night, Italy.

WoodwardGate/2

An amazing post by Tom Maguire at JustOneMinute sums up the latest developments of Plamegate after Bob Woodward's revelations and the possible consequences on the ongoing investigation. Basically, Fitzgerald did a lousy job since the beginning. He "blew it - he had White House phone logs, he had sign in sheets, he had Libby's notes, he had testimony from many, many people, he had two years, and still, somehow, he did not include Bob Woodward on his contacts-of-interest list". Like Christian Rocca writes at Camillo, "if the first journalist to know about Valerie Plame was Bob Woodward, and he didn't know from Lewis Libby but from an anonymous (who is not Karl Rove), it seems to me that Fitzgerald is a lousy detective". The funny side of the story is also that the anti-Bush people don't know if they should continue to attack the Administration no matter what (but this is not possible anymore, without calling Woodward a clown, like Daily Kos, Talking Points Memo and Huffington Post do) or they should pay respect to the Great Journalist who was able to overturn one of the largest electoral victories ever of the Republican party (but this is not possible anymore, without considering Fitzgerald's inquiry a joke). From any angle we see it, and with any possible ending, this story is not damaging Bush Administration, but showing the dark side of the mainstream media and of the political use of judiciary system. Analysis and commentary from Decision '08, Hugh Hewitt, Secular Blasphemy, Tap Scott's Copy Desk, Power Line, Ace of Spades HQ, PostWatch, Myopic Zeal, The American Mind, AnkleBitingPundits, Two or Three, Sister Toldjah, Abracadabrah, The Political Pit Bull, A Blog for All, Outside the Beltway, Right on the Right, Small Town Veteran.

WoodwardGate

Richard Nixon is surely roaring with laughter in his coffin. Bob Woodward, the journalist that with colleague Carl Bernstein discovered the Watergate scandal in the ‘70s, is involved in the so-called Plamegate, the investigation carried on by Patrick J. Fitzgerald that charged Lewis “Scooter” Libby, former chief of staff of vice- President Dick Cheney. The story, summed up by Christian Rocca, merges with the NigerGate (with which Mario Sechi and Gian Marco Chiocci are brilliantly dealing for Il Giornale: here the latest episode of the saga). Asked on Monday by Fitzgerald, Woodward declared that on june 2003 he already knew the true identity of Cia agent Valerie Plame, that is at least a month before libby revealed it to NYT journalist, Judith Miller. Woodward said also that he spoke about it to his Washington Post colleague, Walter Pincus, who claims he does not remember such thing. The interesting fact is that Libby has been charged with perjury because Fitzgerald doubts that Libby’s source on Valerie Plame was Tim Russert of NBC. If Woodward’s statements were confirmed, Libby’s lawyers claim, Fitzgerald’s investigation would be completely discredited, because it would prove that the Plame’s identity (and office) were known among journalists well before Libby’s “revelations”. If Woodward lied – as the anti-Bush front claims – Nixon could start dancing with joy. Analysis and commentary from: Michelle Malkin, Captain's Quarters, Wizbang!, Instapundit, Decision '08, Moderate Voice, Power Line, Daily Pundit, PunditGuy, ScrappleFace, The Strata-Sphere, Blogs4God, Macsmind, Balloon Juice, Oh That Liberal Media, The Truth Laid Bear, Conservative Outpost, BrothersJudd.

Tuesday Night Round-Up

On the 24th of November, William Buckley Jr. will celebrate his 80th birthday. The Economist (via The Mote in God's Eyes, with an amazing post) takes the chance to ponder about the future of the American Conservative Movement and the Republican Party. Yesterday, in the Senate, GOP made a horrible move about War on Terror, according to Michelle Malkin and Hugh Hewitt. But in the last years GOP was always lucky enough to find enemies who are much worse. Other analysis and comments at Captain's Quarters, Right Wing Nut House, QandO, Daily Pundit, The Anchoress, Right Wing News, PoliPundit, The Strata-Sphere, ScrappleFace, GOP Bloggers. If somebody still have doubts about the fact that networking works better on the Right than on the Left, the Pajama-Clad Revolutionaries are coming to clean up the last insurgents. All the details on National Review and New York Sun. Democrats start whining about Samuel Alito's pro-life past. The Battle for the Supreme Court is heating up: Washington Times, Washington Post, Blogs for Bush, Power Line, The Political Teen, Myopic Zeal. Stefania of Free Thoughts (via My Vast Right Wing Conspiracy) writes his first Cotillion Carnival. Conservative's girl are always the best: Sissy Willis confirms that, beating up Wonkette. At California Conservative, the last anti-Bush trick by Associated Press, former press agency and now official speaker of American Left. All Things Beautiful has the best-name-ever for this: "The Associated Press Deficit Disorder". Other details at Protein Wisdom, The Truth Laid Bear, Baldilocks, Classical Values, Gateway Pundit, Ed Driscoll, Daily Pundit. Amazing article by James Pinkerton at Tech Central Station about the last chapter of the "Mary Mapes vs. Blogs" saga. At Hyscience and Riehl World View, the details of the battle between Mexican president Vicente Fox and Venezuelan dictator (yes, dictator) Hugo Chavez. While my twin Otimaster celebrates the birthday of the world wide web, the other my twin Robinik and the two twins by 2twins writes about the ICANN controversy. Four twins in total, and everyone is better than Massimo Gaggi of the Corriere della Sera, who should find a twin able to write articles instead of him.

Alito: On Abortion Explodes the Battle for the Supreme Court

Bill Sammon's scoop on the Washington Times fires up the battle - on the Right and on the Left - for the confirmation of Samuel Alito at the Supreme Court. in a 1985 document obtained by the newspaper, Alito wrote that "the Constitution does not protect a right to an abortion". "I personally believe very strongly" in this legal position, Alito wrote on his application to become deputy assistant to Attorney General Edwin I. Meese III, in which he also "demonstrated his conservative bona fides as he sought to become a political appointee in the Reagan administration" and declares himself against affirmative action. Patrick Ruffini organized a blogger conference with Ed Gillespie, high-ranking republican, Samuel Alito's counselor and former chief of Republican National Committee. Townhall, Professor Bainbridge, RightWing News, Blogs for Bush, The Political Teen, Suitably Flip and Decision '08 reports. Try to imagine something like that in Italy, where even Scalfarotto leaves the blogosphere (hat tip: Tony). United Nations Children's Fund launches an anti-war tv spot in Belgium which shows the Smurfs' village annihilated by warplanes. According to Garfield Ridge, annihilation is not enough. Phastidio on ownership society and Il motel dei polli ispirati on american health system (and not only): must-read. American Idol and individualism in pop culture: Catallarchy. Washington Post writes that Howard Dean is loosing the fundraising race against GOP. Weren't democrats the certain winners of 2006 elections? Analysis and comments at: Captain's Quarters, Ballon Juice, Powerline, RedState.org, GOP Bloggers, The Moderate Voice. Red Phosphorous - Round-Up

Scott Burgess' analysis at The Daily Ablution on RaiNews24's lies - reported also by Wellington in his latest, amazing post - ha aperto il vaso di Pandora's Box. And the right side of American blogosphere is now flooded with reconstructions and comments: Instapundit, Little Green Footballs, Protein Wisdom, Media Lies, The English Guy, Rightwing Nuts House, Countercolumn, Balloon Juice, Englishman in New York, The Briefing Room, Confederate Yankee, The Sweet Hereafter, Pale Fire, The Dusty Attic, Bujutsu, Rantingproof, Another Rovian Conspiracy, The Stockholm Spectator, Dean's World, The Dusty Attic. Wednesday Night Round-Up

Three explosions hit Jordan's capital killing at least 50 people and wounding hundreds. According to local officers, it was a coordinated terrorist attack which blasted hotels in different parts of the town. Reports by FoxNews e Reuters, other details and comments at The Counterterrorism Blog, Protein Wisdom, Michelle Malkin, Barcepundit, Stop the ACLU, Terrorism Unveiled, Wizbang, Gateway Pundit, bRight&Early. In Italy, "journalists" are on strike. Two amazing posts - McQ at Qando Blog and Scott Burgess at The Daily Ablution - demolish once for all the RaiNews 24's fairytale on "Fallujah's napalm". In Italy, Wellington did a fantastic research job, Read and learn. A closer look at yesterday elections in Virginia, New Jersey and California: QandO Blog, Blogs for Bush, Cheat Seeking Missiles, The Political Teen, Below the Beltway, GOP and the City, Professor Bainbridge, GOP Bloggers, The Moderate Voice, Pardon My English, Donkey Stomp. Elections didn't go well, especially in Virginia, but we're happy with New York (Bloomberg won easily) and San Diego majors, where former Police Chief (republican) won against an an environmental activist (democrat). Better than nothing. Who Is Lying About Iraq? Norman Podhoretz, on Commentary, has no doubts.

Monday Night Round-Up

RaiNews 24's lies about "white phosphorous flares" used by US Army at Fallujah were peddled to everyone (AdnKronos, AGI, Corriere della Sera, L'Unità, Repubblica) and they are the opening title at Google News. But this "terrible chemical weapon" is used, since decades, to enlight enemy emplacements in the dark. As Ace of Spades writes (via My Vast Right Wing Conspiracy): "Italian TV has an upcoming scoop on another American chemical super-weapon-- injecting toxic lead capsules into the bodies of enemies through a secret technology codenamed guns". About real news: amazing round-up at Mudville Gazette about Iraq and war on terror. QandO Blog, Michelle Malkin, Little Green Footballs, No Pasaran, Wizbang! and Cheat Seeking Missiles tell the disgusting story of Jimmy Massey and his chubby lies (at first, amplified by mainstream media withouth any check and then simply ignored after the debunking). Liberal's winds of war against Samuel Halito seem to decrease. A confirmation arrives by a very liberal newspaper like the Los Angeles Times (via Captain's Quarters and Patterico's Pontifications). And even Ted Kennedy says that "a filibuster is not in the playbook" ("Meet the Press" video at The Political Teen)."Wake up, Europe, you've a war on your hands": Mark Steyn on French Intifada in the Chigago Sun-Times. Michelle Malkin's round-up. According to Chicago Boyz (via Nickie Goomba), this has "stripped the American Left of its second Utopia in a generation". By TocqueVille, on the same subject: 1972, Wellington, Le guerre civili, 2twins, Robinik, Il motel dei polli ispirati, Gianni De Martino, Il Griso, Lisistrata, No Way, Il Megafono, Tempi Duri (just to underline some of the most recent posts). The best place to keep ourselves informed about the last conspiracy theories forged by the anti-Bush front is, like always, the New York Times (via NewsBusters). Family.org (via Stop the ACLU) against the 9th Circuit Court. The website Yes on 73 (via Hyscience) has released shocking audio tapes that should influence California's referendum on Proposition 73 (the Parents' Right to Know and Child Protection initiative). Anti Al-Qaeda Demonstrations in Morocco with 150 thousands people. All the details on Gateway Pundit (via The Jawa Report).

Michael Moore... Eat This! :)

Un-friggin'-believable! In today's Ecosystem by TTLB, which orders - in a sort of evolutionary scale - blogs from all around the world counting inbound links, The Right Nation (since a few months among the Large Mammals, after a whole life spent fighting with molluscs, reptiles and rodents) surpassed Michael Moore's blog! Clicking on the fat bastard's image you can see a screenshot of today's chart, before the evil liberal forces take over again. P.S. We want to use these 5 seconds of auto-celebration also to heartily thank Ludovico Magnocavallo of Qix.it, author of Top 100 of Italian Blogs according to Technorati, who solved (manually) some problems with Technorati's API (don't ask me what's that, I have no idea) which stopped The Right Nation to hold its place in the chart. After Moore, also Beppe Grillo is trembling! :)

South Park Republicans: 42 (and Beyond)

Valerio (Valeforn) is the 42th member of the South Park Republicans (italian gallery). As we promised, he wins this fantastic post (better than lottery!). Shortly after Valerio, we received the portraits of Francesco (Kagliostro) and Mario (Phastidio) realized with this amazing software. We remember that you have to send your picture here if you want to be in the gallery.

Weekend Round-Up

Ann Coulter, on RealClear Politics (via Nickie Goomba), explains why last week cooled off, again, the hopes of the anti-Bush front. Michael Moore, enemy of the big corporations, is not shy to hold thousands of shares by Wall Street's sharks. Not even the Halliburton's ones. The details on World Net Daily (via Myopic Zeal), who picked up the scoop in the book "Do As I Say, Not As I Do, Profiles in Liberal Hypocrisy" by Peter Schweizer. On Commentary (via The Belgravia Dispatch), a symposiums about "Bush Doctrine" with, among others, William F. Buckley Jr., Francis Fukuyama, Robert Kagan, William Kristol, Richard Lowry, Edward N. Luttwak, Joshua Muravchik, Richard Perle, Daniel Pipes, Norman Podhoretz, Natan Sharansky). Conservative wing of the Republican party loves last Bush's Supreme Court nomination, Samuel Alito, but also libertarians from Reason are glad with president's choice. To follow the developments: Patterico Pontifications, The Volokh Conspiracy e Scotus Blog. An amazing Victor Davis Hanson on the last issue of the City Journal. Mustafa Setmariam Nasar, one of Al-Qaeda's terrorists charged for being involved in Madrid's bombing, was arrested in Pakistan. CNN's coverage (via The Jawa Report). State of the Blogosphere (October 2005): by David Sifry, Technorati's boss. How many times did you hear this fairytale: "before the invasion of Kuwait, USA were the main vendors of weapons to Saddam Hussein"? According to SIPRI's numbers (via Nasigoreng), during the Eighties, Russia, China and France sold 80% of weapons to Iraq. USA are well below 1%. November 8th: California’s special election deeply analyzed at California Conservative. Burn, Paris, burn. France Intifada according to the Weekly Standard. A round-up at Publius Pundit. Pro-Israel demonstration of the last November 3rd in Rome (and TocqueViller's pictures dei TocqueVillers!) on The American Thinker's blog. Allan H. Ryskind, on Human Events, explains last democrats' lies on Iraq War. With Howard Dean in charge, democrats will continue to loose elections. If you don't believe it, watch last Angry Howie's show on Fox News: video at Political Teen, transcript at Musing Minds. At Confirm Them, last madness of the activist judges of Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals. Unbelievable. We don't expect much from Warren Beatty political battles. But attacking Schwarzenegger because his top donors are all... wealthy, is a bit too much (via Independent Sources). Mario Sechi and Gian Marco Chiocci continue to a beat hard on fake Repubblica's scoop on Niger-gate. The last two (1-2) episodes of their reportage are a must-read. Like first seven.
