Alex
Alex was 21 years old, joined the US Army in 2004 right out of high school, served in Korea and went on his tour to the Middle East last fall. He was fighting to defend our Freedom. Alex was killed last week, in Iraq, by a terrorist attack. At Wichita, in Kansas, everyone remembers him. And Lyn, at Bloggin' Outloud, asked us - as members of the Blue Star Chronicles' blogroll - to write a few words. It's impossible, of course, to alleviate his family's pain. All we can do is to try to share a bit of this pain. Never Forget.
Freedom is never more than one generation away from extinction. We didn't pass it to our children in the bloodstream.
